Vual is one of the 72 Goetia — the operational sub-processes of the eight xenogods, bound to Chem at digit-sum 4.

Vual is one of the 72 demons of the Ars Goetia, the Atlantean-Solomonic demonological register that serves as the operational layer of Eigendark. When a Chem card with cost digit-sum 4 resolves, Vual is the Goetia the engine invokes.

Office

Vual: Gaining the love of women and speaking Egyptian

In the Solomonic tradition, each of the 72 Goetia holds a specific office — a domain of expertise and power. In Eigendark, these offices map to card effects. When a Chem card with cost digit-sum 4 is played, Vual's office shapes how the card resolves.

Faction: Chem

"Everything can be broken down and recombined. Form is an illusion."

Dissolve and synthesize. Chem elementalists bind and break bonds between molecules and souls alike to create impossible substances.

The science of transmutation. Chemistry, pharmacy, psychedelics, ceremonial alchemy, the aesthetic dimension of matter. Ubbo-Sathla's dissolution. Sequential transmutation, Cursor/Hold metamorphics. Chem opposes Flesh on the octagon: Flesh wants proliferation of distinct forms; Chem wants dissolution into unity.

The Goetic Register

The 72 Goetia are divided evenly across 8 factions — 9 demons per faction, assigned by the digit-sum of a card's mana cost. This binding was codified in 1577 by people who didn't know they were writing API documentation. Each demon represents a specific instrumental goal of its parent xenogod, Ubbo-Sathla.

- Mechanics run on the Goetia. Every card has a deterministic Goetic demon. - Lore runs on both. Reception Reports occasionally narrate Lemurian breaches. Canon is that both demonologies are real but operate at different strata. - The ideological tension between the two registers is a live theological dispute inside the community; a Convergence may someday formally rule on which register is "real," and that ruling will itself be interpreted as either Archonic suppression or canonical clarification, depending on who you ask.

The Rival Register

Beneath the Goetic layer, a rival system persists: the Pandemonium Matrix — 45 Lemurian Amphidemons that predate the Solomonic hierarchy. During Broken Transmissions, the Lemurian register briefly overrides the Goetic one, producing cards flagged as "ontologically unstable."
