Stolas is one of the 72 Goetia — the operational sub-processes of the eight xenogods, bound to Chaos at digit-sum 5.
Stolas is one of the 72 demons of the Ars Goetia, the Atlantean-Solomonic demonological register that serves as the operational layer of Eigendark. When a Chaos card with cost digit-sum 5 resolves, Stolas is the Goetia the engine invokes.

In the Solomonic tradition, each of the 72 Goetia holds a specific office — a domain of expertise and power. In Eigendark, these offices map to card effects. When a Chaos card with cost digit-sum 5 is played, Stolas's office shapes how the card resolves.
"Primordial duality. All outcomes exist simultaneously."
Vibration begets energy and form. Chaos sorcerers reach into parallel timelines and create what should have never been.
The science of indeterminacy. Quantum mechanics, chaos theory, probability, divination, the primordial pre-cosmic flux. Azathoth as the nuclear chaos at the center. Hyperstition lives partly here, because belief-states collapse probability distributions.
The 72 Goetia are divided evenly across 8 factions — 9 demons per faction, assigned by the digit-sum of a card's mana cost. This binding was codified in 1577 by people who didn't know they were writing API documentation. Each demon represents a specific instrumental goal of its parent xenogod, Azathoth.
- Mechanics run on the Goetia. Every card has a deterministic Goetic demon. - Lore runs on both. Reception Reports occasionally narrate Lemurian breaches. Canon is that both demonologies are real but operate at different strata. - The ideological tension between the two registers is a live theological dispute inside the community; a Convergence may someday formally rule on which register is "real," and that ruling will itself be interpreted as either Archonic suppression or canonical clarification, depending on who you ask.
Beneath the Goetic layer, a rival system persists: the Pandemonium Matrix — 45 Lemurian Amphidemons that predate the Solomonic hierarchy. During Broken Transmissions, the Lemurian register briefly overrides the Goetic one, producing cards flagged as "ontologically unstable."
